在英國購物會用到哪些常用語

1. 我是准備去英國的學生想知道一些在英國平時經常用的俚語

汗，我在倫敦一年了，一樓說的那些我一句也沒聽過。我覺得比較常用的就是：
1，Excuse me。
這個你會經常聽老外說，不是對不起打擾的意思，而是借光，讓一下的意思。你在走馬路，逛街，乘公車的時候，幾乎每天都能聽人說一次，或者你自己對人說一次。
2，Cheers
倫敦的老外們說謝謝，你很少聽到什麼thanks，thank you，反而是cheers比較多，而且可以不分場合的用。甚至在某些時候可以取代byebye。我一開始去學校的student hub，裡面的職員對我說cheers，我還不習慣呢，因為以前國內書本上很少用cheers，但一年之後，你會發現cheers 非常好用
3，many thanks
我第一次見到這個用法是發郵件的時候，最後發件人下面寫上many thanks，而且出現頻率高於regards。國內學英語時，所學的最後署名前加 Yours，在這邊幾乎很少看見加yours的。我們學的和英國這邊的實際應用差別真的好大。

目前就想起這么多，順便一提，你來英國說英語的話，語法固然重要，但是老外說的話其實都很通俗易懂，不會用什麼復雜的語法俚語，就算你聽不懂，也可以讓老外重復一遍。再者，你自己說話的時候其實不用在意什麼，只要能說明白，讓對方明白你說什麼就行。我說英語語速快，經常會有語法錯誤，但是老外一樣明白我說什麼。

6. 在英國大商場購物，需要的單詞以及句子（英語的）越多越好

一般注意禮貌用語就好了，不要忘了 多說 please。 英國的商場一般所有的東西你都是可以找到的，不用太多的英語。直接挑好付錢就好了。英鎊是pound， 便士pence\penny你直接就可以說 P 就好了，比如20便士，你可以說 20p.

單詞我看上面給了很多，不過 prices are fixed, fixed prices 有定價 這句典型的中式英語，直接用 price就好了。
to keep the bill 留發票 也是不對的，英國bill 一般是指賬單，比如你的水費，電費的賬單用bill。 發票應該是receipt。
服裝 是 clothing 不要用什麼 dry goods。
change room 或者是fiting room 是更衣室。
你如果買電器的時候一般他們會問你 would U like take insurance\cover 是保險的意思。
如果你是短期旅遊，買一些比較貴的物品可以向他們說 I need\want to return tax，（退稅，17%左右）
買鞋的時候會向你推銷他們的鞋油一類東西，一般是說 polishing\polish
通常像pc world 會有一個叫bargain zone（便宜區） 的地方還有一家店叫home bargain都是一些打折的東西。
英國的度量衡和中國不同，重量的有 ounces（盎司）pounds 磅（也會寫成LB 0.454公斤）距離用的是inch 英寸，feet 英尺 yards 碼， mile 英里。同樣面積也是不同的，在前面加上square（縮寫SQ）就是平方的意思。
當然你用公制的單位他們也知道的。
還有鞋的型號和衣服型號是不同，42-43的鞋在英國一般是8號到8號半的（有些品牌沒有半號）。
英國在打折的時候會有類似於 buy one get one free（買一送一）buy two get one free（買2送一）buy 數字 get 數字 half price 買 （數字）第數字半價。 一般是買2個第三個半價。 還有就是 比如說
2 for £10 就是兩個十鎊。
衣服也是有有號碼的，不過通常是女裝，我就不太懂了。號碼一般是3號（小）4四號好像是到10號（大）以上，是按照衣服大小排列的。

初到美國的人外出購物遇到的一些會話，像有些很簡單的句子， 如 Charge or debit？ 常使得剛來美國的人覺得十分地困擾， 不知道這句話到底在問什麼東西， 當然更別說要正確地回答了！ 下面的內容希望對大家有所幫助。

1、Charge or debit？ (Credit or debit？)
使用信用卡或是電子錢包？
Charge (Credit) 指的就是一般我們說的信用卡， 信用卡使用上很方便， 但若是沒有收入又沒有社會安全卡， 是很難申請到信用卡的。 而我們的提款卡 (ATM 卡) 就是 debit， 它會從你的支票戶頭直接扣錢。 一般而言， 只要去有刷卡的地方都會被問這一句， 剛來美國的人常常對這句話感到莫名奇妙， 不知道這句話到底在問什麼， 其實只要了解什麼是 charge 什麼是 debit， 這句話就不難了解， 視你是使用信用卡還是 ATM 卡而回答。 使用信用卡就說 charge， 使用 ATM 卡就答 debit。

2、Cash back？
是否要找回現金？
在美國跨行提款的手續費是 $1.5， 夠嚇人的吧？ 可是偏偏美國那麼大，你要找到跟發卡銀行同一家銀行的提款機談何容易？ 那這是不是意謂著每次去提領現金都要負擔高額的手續費？
其實只要你善用 cash back 這個功能， 那情況就完全不一樣了， cash back 就是說假設你買 10 塊的東西， 但刷卡時你可以刷 30 元， 剩下的 20元他會拿現金 20 塊找你， 如此出門就不必帶著大筆的現金， 又不必負擔高額的提款手續費。 唯一缺點是有金額限制， 有些店最多可 cash back $50， 有些店只能 cash back $20。 一般的情形是只有 ATM 卡才能 cash back 的， 一般的信用卡是不行的， 但是有些特別的信用卡， 如 Discover， 也有提供 cash back 的功能。 他的優點在於不受發卡銀行提款機的限制， 我在亞特蘭大拿的 ATM 卡到波士頓一樣可以 cash back， 而且完全不收手續費， 請大家多加利用。

3、How are you going to pay？
你要怎麼付款？
不住在美國的人， 或是剛來美國的人聽到這句話一定覺得丈二金剛摸不著頭腦。 其實這句話跟 Charge or debit 這句話很像， 問的就是你要用什麼方式付款如信用卡(credit card) 提款卡 (debit card) 或是現金 (cash) 來付帳。 這句話在"電子情書"這部電影中曾出現過， 在男主角去女主角的書店買東西時， 店員就問男主角這句， 湯姆漢克就答: cash。 就是付現的意思了。

4、Double coupon。
雙重摺價卷。
我想只要在美國待過一陣子的人， 都知道利用 coupon 來省錢的道理吧！ 所謂的 coupon， 就是由製造商所發行的一種折價卷， 如 Save 50c 的 coupon (折價卷)可以讓你在結帳時少付 50c， 然後再由這些商店拿著這些 coupon 去跟製造商換錢。
那什麼是 double coupon 呢？ 就是在美國有一家很有名叫 Kroger 的 grocery store。 為了促銷， 所推行的一種政策。 他們宣稱拿著 50c 的 coupon 去他們的店裡買東西， 就可以折價 1 元， 折價的金額足足多了一倍。 多餘的這 50c 是 Kroger 給顧客的優惠。 但是也有一些限制， 例如，每張 coupon 的面額不得超過 75c， 而且對同樣一個商品， double coupon 只能使用一次。

5、Bring your receipt to the customer service， and they will refund you。
把你的收據拿給顧客服務部， 他們就會退錢給你。
美國是個很重視消費者權益的國家， 所以幾乎每個商家， 都一定會有一個專門的 customer service 櫃台。 有任何的問題去找他們， 他們多半會給你滿意的答覆。 我是覺得去超市買東西， 他們算錯錢的比例蠻高的， 只要發現收據上有任何問題， 就可以拿著收據去 customer service 要求退錢 (refund)。
我覺得老美也蠻有人情味的， 有一次我結帳時忘了拿會員卡出來， 以致於多付了六七塊錢， 雖然這是我自己的錯， 但是當我拿著會員卡和收據去跟 customer service 說明後， 他們還是把錢退給我。 讓我覺得十分感動。

6、I want to take the raincheck for the eggs。
我要拿一張雞蛋的 raincheck。
有時候某樣商品大特價， 該樣商品很快地就被搶購一空了。 這樣的情形如果是在台灣， 商家一定會說， 賣完了就賣完了， 我也沒辦法。 可是美國的制度很有意思， 這樣特價品賣完了沒關系， 你可以去跟他們領一張 raincheck。 等到過一段時間後 (也許等到該樣商品特價結束了) 你還是可以用特價時的價錢去購買該樣商品。 這樣的制度真的讓人覺得很貼心。
所謂的 raincheck 指的是球賽若因雨而延賽， 則球迷可以把入場卷換成 raincheck， 先保留這張票的權利， 以便日後可以補看球賽。

7、 I am sorry you are on the Cash Only Lane
我很抱歉你現在是在只收現金的結帳道上。
Cash Only 故名思義就是只收現金， 其它的什麼信用卡， 支票都一律不收。 通常是商家為了增快結帳的速度所以才會設 Cash Only Lane。 可是剛來美國時， 標示都沒注意在看， 要是走到這一個 lane， 身上的現金又偏偏不夠時， 那麻煩就大了， 你就必須花 $1。5 的提款手續費去領 $20 來給他， 真是氣人。
此外還有很多不同的 lane， 例如 Express Lane， 可能是只受理少於十樣商品的顧客， 總之， 要結帳前先看清標示就不會吃大虧。

8、The price will go down。
這價錢將會降低。
個人經驗 go down 跟 go up 很好用， 當你不知道用什麼動詞， 如 increase 或 surge， 就用 goes up， 像是有一次我去買汽車保險， 我一直想問他如果我一年當中都沒有理賠， 那明年的保費會不會降低？ 這個降低我就一直想不起來要用 decrease 好還是 lower 好， 結果後來我才聽他說， "The price will go down。" 是不是聽來很順。 再說一個例子， 比如作實驗時濃度上升， 這個上升你可以說 increase， 但也可以說， "The concentration goes up。" 聽來是不是也不錯？
另外類似的口語講法， 你可以用 rise 跟 drop 來代表 go up 和 go down。 例如 "The price will drop。"

9、We have a clearance sale today。
我們今天清倉大拍賣。
Clearance sale 算是固定的用法， 就是所謂的清倉大拍賣， 可惜我在美國還沒聽過 "跳樓大拍賣" 的講法， 不然一定也很有趣。 另外， 我們去店裡如果要找這些拍賣的商品， 我們可以問店員說， "Where can I find the clearance items？" 所謂的 clearance item 就是清倉貨， 零碼貨的意思， 或是 odd sizes 也代表零碼貨的意思。

10、Can you give me the invoice？
能不能給我一張發票？
常聽到有人在問發票這個字的英文怎麼講？ 就是 invoice 這個字啦！ 只可惜在美國買東西一般都只給收據 receipt。 害我們少了很多對發票中大獎的樂趣 (人真的是為了希望而活！！) 只有在買大件的東西， 如汽車保險時， 他們才會給你所謂的發票 (invoice).

本期介紹一些在英國購物時會用到的一些句子。

2）I'm looking for a sweater. Could you help me?」
我想買一件毛衣，你能告訴我在哪裡嗎？

3）May I try this on?
我能試試這件嗎？

4） Where is the fitting room?」
試衣間在哪裡？

5）I like this tank top. It goes with my baggy jeans.
我喜歡這件背心，它很配我的寬松牛仔褲。

6）Could you help me pick up a dress?
你能幫我挑一件禮服嗎？ 低胸(low cut)連身裙(evening gown)

7）Her dressy dress really caught my eyes. 我的目光被她漂亮的禮服所吸引。
dress up則是指作正式的穿著打扮，男女都可用，也就是女生穿禮服、男生穿西裝打領帶了。
8）I just want to buy some off-the-rack clothes.我只想隨便買一些現成的衣服。

off-the-rack指的是那種由工廠大量製造的成衣，通常指很普通、不是特別好的衣服。custom-made或tailor-made指的是「定做」的。

9）This shirt is very stylish and not very expensive.
這件襯衫又時髦又便宜。

Good-looking就是「好看」，stylish則是「時髦」，becoming，指「合身又好看」。

10）I don't think this one will fit me.
我覺得這件衣服不合身。

11）It's not my size或It won't fit me

大小不合適。 有些商店掛著alteration的招牌，則是指可以提供修改衣服的服務。

12）Your clothes don't match.(你的衣服不太配。)

13）Let me ring that up for you.

可以結賬了嗎？ 「買單」的講法通常是check out ， ring up同樣也是「結帳」的意思，
